GeForce NOW celebrates another year of ground-breaking cloud gaming advancements and an ever-expanding library!
The folks at GeForce NOW have been very busy in 2024, solidifying GFN’s position as a leader in cloud gaming. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, the platform surpassed a staggering 2,000 games, mainly thanks to partnerships with prominent publishers. This year also saw the launch of more data centres, specifically in Japan and Poland, bringing the power of GeForce RTX 4080 servers to new regions.
Enhanced Flexibility and Features for Gamers
GeForce NOW also introduced Day Passes, offering gamers more flexible access to premium features, meaning that members can now enjoy the benefits of Ultimate and Performance memberships for 24 hours at a time. Additionally, Performance members received an upgrade from 1080p to a cool 1440p!
Streamlining the user experience, GeForce NOW also implemented:
- Automatic Xbox sign-in for seamless access to game libraries.
- A new beta installation method for Steam Deck, automatically installing Google Chrome and necessary settings for GeForce NOW access. (I have tried this and can confirm that it works beautifully!)
- Mod support in the cloud for World of Warcraft (Ultimate and Priority members) through a partnership with CurseForge.
Blockbuster Titles and Genre-Defining Debuts
2024 brought highly anticipated titles to the cloud:
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Embark on a thrilling adventure with stunning visuals and DLSS 3 support.
- Path of Exile 2 (Early Access): Dive into deep customisation and improved visuals.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard: Immerse yourself in BioWare’s captivating fantasy world.
- Black Myth: Wukong: Witness stunning visuals that redefine cloud gaming graphics.
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl: Experience intense survival horror in the cloud.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: Enjoy fast-paced multiplayer action on day one.
The integration of Activision Blizzard games and Battle.net further enriched the GeForce NOW library with popular titles like Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and Call of Duty: Warzone.
