GFN Thursday: The Gaming Horde Ascends to GeForce NOW

A Gears of War Reloaded Article

Seven new games are joining GeForce NOW this GFN Thursday! Leading the charge is the highly anticipated launch of Gears of War: Reloaded, alongside the full release of the electrifying 2D roguelike The Rogue Prince of Persia. Read on for the full details!

Gears of War: Reloaded: More Grit, More Gears

The classic curb-stomping action of Gears of War: Reloaded is back, remastered from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5. The visuals are now sharper than ever, bringing the brutal conflict between humanity and the subterranean Locust Horde to life with stunning detail. Gamers can join Marcus Fenix, Dom Santiago, and the rest of Delta Squad to fight for humanity’s survival in the epic campaign, available for both solo play and online co-op.

The remastered version includes all the original’s explosive action, chainsaw duels, and bro fists, plus bonus campaign missions and new multiplayer maps. Players can choose between modern controls for new recruits or classic controls for franchise veterans.

The Rogue Prince of Persia: Greatest Leap Yet

The Rogue Prince of Persia marks its full release with version 1.0, bringing refined parkour, polished combat, and a complete storyline. The game follows the rogue heir on his quest to reclaim his kingdom and stop the invading Huns. Players can sprint, vault, and wall-run through a reimagined Persia, blending fluid platforming with swift, acrobatic combat.

Each run is a new fight for survival as players leap over traps and chain stylish moves. The prince’s adventure is enhanced by an ever-expanding arsenal, unlockable medallions, and upgradeable gear. On GeForce NOW, the game can be streamed at up to 4K at 120 frames per second. This ultralow latency ensures that every parkour move can be landed with perfect timing, and the fight can be taken anywhere, instantly, on nearly any device.

Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids: Catbots vs. Brainblobs

Also making an appearance is Chip ‘n Clawz vs. The Brainioids, a quirky action-strategy hybrid from X-COM creator Julian Gollop. In this game, players control a clever inventor and his robo-cat to fight off an invasion of bizarre Brainioid aliens. The gameplay mixes third-person action with real-time strategy, as players build bases, command bot armies, and squash rogue brains in both solo and co-op modes. With couch and online multiplayer, PvP battles, and a humorous campaign, this game provides a fresh and approachable take on the strategy genre.
