PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium June 2023 update

Sony seems to be pulling out all the stops in their bid for territory in cloud gaming. PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium, which is the competitor for GamePass, is set to receive a record number of titles. A staggering 28(!) titles are joining the roster. Additionally, 17 games are leaving. The complete list of games for PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium June 2023 refresh can be found below.

Sony pushing further into cloud gaming

But that is not all. Completely out of the blue, Sony has announced they are working on PlayStation 5 games support. Soon, you’ll be able to stream PlayStation 5 games. And that is not all. They are working on a new feature, which should allow you to play select PlayStation 5 games. PlayStation Plus Premium members will get access to this feature. When these improvements go live, the service seems to be a combination between GamePass and GeForce Now. Ironically, Microsoft has announced they are working on supporting bought games through Xbox Cloud Gaming a while ago but there’s been radio silence ever since. Sony might be able to get there first. Time will tell!

Games added on June 20th

As mentioned earlier, Sony is bringing a massive number of games to the PlayStation Extra/Premium catalogue in June. Few are new or returning to cloud gaming, however they’re all quality titles. Take a look at the full list of games below, with titles in bold being new to cloud gaming.

    Games leaving June 20th

Like every month and subscription service, some games will be leaving too. Fortunatly, it’s less than the amount of games joining. You can find the full list below. Games in bold will become unavailable through cloud gaming.
