Two new genres: Life Simulation & Time Management

The Cloud Gaming Catalogue is continuously improving. This time we’ve added two new genres: Life Simulation & Time Management. Both are niche genres with a dedicated following. We often see questions regarding these games on the internet, so decided to expand on the catalogue with these genres. You’ll be able to find these options under the ‘Genre’ filter in the Cloud Gaming Catalogue.

Life Simulation games

Life simulation games have been around for decades. However, the genre basically consisted of the Harvest Moon games. Starting on the Super Nintendo, the Harvest Moon series offered unique gameplay where building social interactions and simulating a life as a farmer was central to the game. It wasn’t until much later that similar games started to appear, such as My Life At Portia and Stardew Valley. These are the types of games you can expect as part of this genre.

Time Management games

The Time Management genre is fairly new. It all started with the Overcooked games. In Time Management games, working against the clock is the main challenge. Alone or together, you have to perform as many tasks as you can within the allotted time. They are mainly intended for multiple players, which both increases the challenge and the fun. They will test the coordination skills of yourself and your friends. While the amount of Time Management games is fairly limited, they are a very popular genre.
